When thinking of Green Bay, most people would be hard-pressed to think of something more memorable coming from the city than a football team. The Packers are an international icon with a storied past and plenty of famous moments throughout its existence. What many people are not aware of, however, is how the Packers have impacted the surrounding community and, more specifically, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. What made us want to start the research on this project was the thought of a contract between the Packers and UWGB. We then wanted to dive into the relationship between the Packers and UWGB. Legendary figures such as Vince Lombardi and Bart Starr had significant impacts upon the founding of the school’s sport programs. In this web page we will go over UWGB, its athletics, and the Green Bay Packers, and see how they intersect with each other.
